Prantik Dey

Prantik Dey, known by his stage name YNB, is a visual storyteller, music video director, and co-founder of the independent band TLF GANG, established in 2017. Known for his direct creative instincts and raw approach to storytelling, YNB’s work is rooted less in formal training and more in intuition, experimentation, and a relentless desire to translate emotion into visuals.

His journey into directing began with his first music video “Lonely” (2022). At the time, he had virtually no technical knowledge of filmmaking. What he did have was curiosity and a simple motivation: the joy of seeing himself happy while creating something meaningful. That instinct led him to begin directing music videos for TLFgang, gradually shaping the band’s visual identity through trial, error, and persistence.

A turning point came after meeting Sam Da, who became a crucial support system behind the scenes. With that backing, YNB was able to push his ideas further and embrace the chaos of the creative process. Over the following years, he directed projects including Back On My Bullshit and Tentative Love, gradually finding his language as a visual storyteller.

However, “Wasted” marked a defining chapter in his journey. The project became a full hands-on experience in structured filmmaking, where YNB was deeply involved in every stage of the process, from concept development and visual design to execution and storytelling. The making of Wasted became more than just another music video; it was a practical film school in itself, shaping his understanding of structure, discipline, and visual narrative. It remains a key learning curve in his evolution as a music video director.
