Arpan Roy

Arpan Roy is a filmmaker and writer with a Master’s degree in Film Studies from Jadavpur University. His work spans writing, direction, performance, and production, reflecting a multidisciplinary engagement with contemporary visual storytelling.

Arpan recently directed the short film Dopaaya (The Biped), while also contributing as a writer and actor to multiple student short films. Alongside his creative work, he has built practical production experience through various advertisement shoots and music video projects, and is particularly adept at film documentation and project development.

He has also worked as a script localizer with Pocket FM, and has been involved in several scriptwriting and development initiatives with the production company Little Hamlet Films, continuing to develop projects that bridge academic film discourse and independent filmmaking practice.
